VIRTUAL NAME SERVER

We give you the ability to have your own virtual name server (ns1-2.yourdomain.com). A virtual name server is not an actual name server, rather it is an alias which refers to our primary and secondary name servers.

Once your virtual name server is setup, you can register domain names with your virtual name server information. Thus, when your customers perform a domain name look-up they will see your name server information not ours.

Once your virtual name server is configured we will use that information  when registering additional domain names for new or existing domains with InterNIC. In order to change the DNS information for the domain names you have registered prior to receiving a virtual name server, you will need to manually modify the information directly with InterNIC or another domain name registry. Before modifying existing domains with InterNIC you may need to submit the Host Registration Template to InterNIC directly for each name server you wish to register. Once the forms are processed by InterNIC you will be able to modify existing domains to refer to your registered name server.

Since a virtual name server is not an actual name server, rather it is an alias, you will still need to make DNS changes and add subhosts through us and pay the applicable monthly fees.
